Nadija O. The documental heritage of I.M. Kamanin (1850-1921): source study aspect

The documental heritage of I. Kamanin, the Ukrainian historian, archivist, arheographer and paleographer, which were found out in archives, libraries and institutes of National Academy of Science of Ukraine is studied for the fist time. Heuristic work, attribution and classification of I. Kamanin's heritage as source complex are carried out. Processes of formation, composition and structure of I. Kamanin's documental heritage are analyzed. Prosopographical portrait of scientist is described. Informational potentiality of I. Kamanin's historical, arheographical, archivistical and paleographical works for study of these sciences in the end of XIX - beginning XX century is determined. Corespondence of I. Kamanin is studied as independent complex of sources for research of peculiarities of Ukrainian archivistic and paleography, circumstances of public, political and cultural life of Ukraine in 1880-1920. The number, places of keeping of the manuscripts, letters are reflected in the supplements, the biographical information about the correspondents of I. Kamanin are given, bibliography of his works is made (277).
