Cherednichenko A. Indications and contra-indications for the preservation of the tooth in the crack of the fracture of the mandible on the basis of multifactorial computer analysis

The thesis deals with specifying and elaborating indications and contra-indications for tooth extraction from the crack of the fracture, taking into account modern opportunities to manage local inflammatory and reparative processes in the area of the fracture and using modern computer technology to summarize and objectivize various clinical and laboratory parameters of dynamics of fracture healing. For the first time evaluation criteria and their combination determining the state of the tooth in the crack of the fracture have been summarized and systemized. For the first time the information content of the evaluation parameters of the course of fracture of the mandible has been defined, taking into account the state of the tooth in the crack of the fracture for integral calculation. On the basis of these studies a unique computer program allowing to predict possible complications, specify indications and contra-indications for preservation of the tooth in the crack of the fracture, substantiate and adjust the treatment has been designed and introduced into clinical practice. Feasibility of draining the crack of the fracture through the root canal in order to save the tooth has been grounded and the appropriate methods developed.
