Object: the current system of strategic analysis of the road freight transport enterprise activity. Purpose: study of theoretical and methodological positions and development of practical recommendations for improving the organization and methods of strategic analysis in management of the transport enterprise activity to ensure their effective performance. Methods: general theoretical research and special methods of dialectics, scientific knowledge, theories of business management, the fundamental position of general economic theory and management, research on business strategy. It is offered: organizational support of strategic analysis for the road freight transport enterprises is developed and adapted, conceptual and categorical aid of strategic analysis on the categories of "strategic management", "strategic analysis" and "information provision of strategic analysis" and classification of economic information is improved, theoretical and methodological approaches to the organization of strategic analysis of the transport enterprises activity are improved, instructional techniques of strategic analysis of the road freight transport companies, methodical approaches to strategic analysis using economic and mathematical methods.
