Sevriuk S. Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Zamlynskyi - historian, specialist in source study, pedagogue (1930-1993)

Object: The personality of V.A. Zamlinsky, the complex of documentary and historiographical sources, connected with life and activity of the scientist; aim: complex coverage of the life and career of V.A. Zamlinsky, his scientific and pedagogical activity, definition of the place and role of the scientist in History as a science; methods: comparative and historical, descriptive, statistical methods, the method of critical analysis and synthesis of the sources, biographical, logical, retrospective method, method of scientific heuristic classification; results: a complete and complex scientific biography of V.A. Zamlinsky was made up, his life, career, scientific and teaching activity were thoroughly investigated, the process of forming V.A. Zamlinsky as a historian and source investigator was learnt, his contribution to the development of Ukrainian historic science was determined; novelty: the setting of the problem, systemic attitude to the solution, originality of the results, the personal archive was systematized and put in order, the unpublished manuscripts were analyzed, their full bibliographical classification was created, the role and importance of a humanitarian scientist was shown in totalitarian conditions of the USSR reality; branch - historiography, source study, specific historic discipline.
