Govorov A. Substantiation of parameters of plant residues shredder with vertical axis of rotation

The thesis deals with the development of a plant residues shredder. An analysis of existing shredders was carried out resulting in coming to the conclusion that the shredder with the vertical axis of rotation and two-high hinging of knives is rational for agricultural production in our country. Substantiated theoretically and experimentally are optimal parameters and operating modes of work members, which were used for the development of an experimental model of the shredder. This model was tested in production conditions. Results of scientific investigations, performance tests, and the working design documentation on the model were transferred to a public corporation of KRASYLIVS'KYI MASHYNOBUDIVNYI ZAVOD, which manufactured a pilot model of the PR-4,5 shredder. This model got through the acceptance test, and its large lot is now in production with the aim of testing of reliability indexes in various working conditions. Proposals on modernization of the PR-4,5 shredder were developed.
