Shyjko A. Archival activity and studing of early texts of Dmitriy Bagaliy

The thesis is devoted to research of archival activity and studing of early texts of one of the outstanding public and scientific figures of the end of XIX and the first part of ХХ centuries Dmitriy Bagaliy. His formation as personality and scientist, the main factors of influence on formation of his world outlook and circle of scientific interests are examined in the research. The role and place of Dmitriy Bagaliy in formation and further development of archival field in Ukraine are clarified on the basis of analysis of his public, organizing and research work. The main areas of his scientific effort represented in numerous publications of documents which had remarkable sense for historical studies as of contemporaries of the scientist as today scientists are defined in the manuscript.
