The thesis studied the essence of antisocial and criminogenical character of marginalism. The analysis of scientific literature dealing classification of marginal groups in Ukrainian society shows that the concept of "marginal person", "marginal group" and "marginalism" are common to philosophy, law, sociology, psychology and other humanities and social sciences.
