Voynarovych A. Participation of people in administration of justice in criminal cases according to the legistation of Ukraine.

Theoretical and practical issues of realization of the institute of people's participation in administration of justice in criminal cases guaranteed by the Constitution of Ukraine are considered in the thesis. Essence of the given institute, its genesis, realization in the legislation of foreign countries are researched; problems connected with its functioning in criminal proceedings of Ukraine are analysed; models of people's participation in administration of justice in Ukraine are presented; possibility of combination of two forms of the jury in criminal proceedings of Ukraine is asserted. Correlation of the jury of English-American model and the court with people's assessors participation (jury of the continental model) in administration of justice in criminal cases in Ukraine is considered, their legal nature and possible procedures of realization in criminal procedure are revealed. Suggestions as to improvement of effective criminal-procedural legislation of Ukraine in the area of procedural-legal regulation of the institute of people's participation in administration of justice in criminal cases are made.
