The subject of research: chemoresistant tuberculosis; the objective - increase of effectiveness in the treatment of chemoresistant tubercular patients by means of meropenem; research methods: clinical, roentgenologic, ultrasonic examination of abdominal cavity organs, laboratory, instrumental, microbiological, statistical researches; novelty: the clinical effectiveness of meropenem and its tolerance during a long period of application within a great contingent of chemoresistant tubercular patients has been studied for the first time, indications have been specified and application technique in complex treatment of these patients has been developed. The range of application is medicine.
