Object - the financial potential of the country as a combination of existing and potential financial resources generated in the process of distribution and redistribution of GDP which are the foundation of economic growth. Purpose - to deepen the theoretical foundations of the financial potential of economic growth, study the role of the financial sector in its mobilization and effective use, development of research-based proposals of restructuring the financial sector of Ukraine in order to create a financial foundation for growth. Methods - induction and deduction, grouping, analysis and synthesis, methods of analogy, quantitative and qualitative comparison, grouping, idealization and scientific abstraction. Results - theoretical generalization and recommendations for the development and implementation of the financial potential of economic growth. Novelty - the conceptual basis of the institutional mechanism of the formation and implementation of the financial potential of economic growth is formed, interpretation of the essence of "financial capacity" is improved, the use of institutionally-functional approach to study the impact of the financial sector on economic growth is proposed, necessity of building a convergent model of the financial sector in Ukraine is proved. The results of the work are implemented into practical activity of the Subcommittee on International Economic Policy Parliament's Committee on Economic Policy, PJSC "Kinto" PJSC "Avtoalians XXI century", in training and educational process Center of training and retraining of personnel, information and analytical provision of insurance and Ternopil National Economic University. The field - the financial resources of economic growth.
