Essay

Dissertation is devoted to the study of oxygen influence on forming of structure and properties of titanium of the chamber electro-slag melting and development of methods of structure formation process control by thermal and deformation influence. A structure and properties of titanium, alloyed by oxygen, produced by different ways of alloying are studied. Influence of oxygen content on character of structure transformations in titanium during crystallization, thermal and deformation influence is studied. The influence of oxygen concentration in titanium on hardness and mechanical properties of material in the different structural states is determined and the methods of structure formation control by thermal and deformation influence are developed. Conceptions of the mechanism of embrittlement of alloys of the system "titanium-oxygen" are specified.
