Object: artistic works of different national literatures of the XXth - early XXIst century. Purpose: to examine the regularities of functioning of the traditional plots, characters and motives of the Homer's epos in the literature of the XXth - early XXIst century. Practical usage: the materials of the investigation can be used for the working the theoretical, historical and literary aspects, by the development of the lecture courses in comparative literature, the history of foreign literature, and also the special courses and seminars. Methods: historical-literary, comparative-historical, typological, of the integral analysis of the artistic work and the elements of the linguistic and stylistic analysis.
