The object - processes of measurement of industrial enterprises competitiveness level; the purpose - theoretical background and elaboration of more effective methods of industrial enterprises competitiveness evaluation based on their production and innovation capabilities analysis; the methods - analysis and synthesis, comparison, analogies and generalization, mathematical statistics: apparatus of production functions, regression analysis, multidimensional scaling, optimal planning and management; the new approach - first developed methodical approach for evaluation of industrial enterprises competitiveness which, in contrast to available, based on generalized estimators of production and innovation capabilities while developing an integral estimation of competitiveness level; the results - methodical approach for evaluation of industrial enterprises competitiveness which realizes fundamentally new methodology of competitiveness evaluation based on enterprise's production and innovation capabilities assessment; implemented in - Ukrainian ferrous metal industry enterprises and, in particular, Metallurgprom; the field of use - economy and enterprises management (according to the types of economic activity).
