Pisna Y. Phenomenon of suicide in Russian philosophy of XIX c. - first part of XX centuries.

The object is the phenomenon of suicide. The aim is to study the specificity of historical-philosophical suicidal views and theories having place in Russian philosophy of XIX c. - first part of XX c. The methods are dialectic, comparative, hermeneutic, system, existential, psychological, phenomenological, existential-psychoanalytical. In the process of the research it was elucidated that the phenomenon of suicide first of all, correlates to the presence / absence of a person's sense of life and, secondly, correlates with an idea of immortality both in its physical and metaphysical dimentions. In addition, the correlation between a degree of social "development" and increase of a suicide curve was ascertained: the more civilized a society is, the weaker social interrelations are in it, the bigger progress of suicide phenomenon is. Application spheres are suicidology and training courses.
