Established patterns of morphological and functional organization of the nervous and endocrine apparatus of the large intestine in intact rats and their interpretation of reactive and adaptive changes after resection of the ileum in the experiment. The large intestine in the rat has a well developed endocrine and nervous apparatus, the distribution in which the intact animals are characterized by quantitative and qualitative indicators that waves change after resection of the ileum, and in the course of the postoperative period are two phases: a functional stress and compensatory-restorative.
