Vlasenko D. Neoadjuvant telegammatherapy in combined treatment of distal gastric cancer

Object of research - the locally advanced distal gastric cancer. A research objective:to improve results of the combined treatment of the locally advanced distal gastric cancer by inclusion in the treatment plan neoadjuvant telegammatherapy. Research methods - clinical, instrumental, laboratory, cytologic, immunohistochemical, statistical processing of results. Novelty: for the first time it is developed and reasonable by results clinical, morphological and immunohistochemical researches a new way of treatment of patients with locally advanced distal gastric cancer which includes neoadjuvant telegammatherapy with following surgical intervention. For the first time on the basis of expression Ki-67 and HER-2/neu the developed objective criteria of the differentiated estimation of the forecast of efficiency of radiotherapy of the patients with the locally advanced distal gastric cancer. Results: the offered technique allows to lower authentically clinical displays of a cancer of a stomach (р <0,05) and to increase resectability (to 71,4±4,7 %) at operative treatment without deterioration of a current of the postoperative period. It is revealed positive correlation communication between level Ki-67 and degree medical pathomorphism. It is introduced in practice of the Donetsk regional antitumoral centre; regional municipal establishment "Krivorozhsky oncological clinic", КЗ "City clinical hospital №19, the city oncological centre" of Dnepropetrovsk. Results of work are used in educational process of Donetsk national medical university named after M.Gorky. A field of application: medicine (oncology).
