Object - concrete elements which work in shear loads (sheared concrete wedges, wall-beams, Gvozdev samples); рurpose - improvement of calculation of strength in shear of reiforced and concrete solid and glued elements on the basis of variational method in the plasticity theory of concrete elements and experimental investigations; мethods - the mechanics of solid deformable body variational method in the theory of concrete plasticity, experimental studies, comparative analysis of theoretical and experimental data; novelty - tasks of determining limit loads have been solved for the first time on the basis of variational method in the plasticity theory of concrete elements for sheared concrete wedges (models of compressed concrete zone which is above dangerous inclined crack), wall-beams, Gvozdev samples; new experimental data have been received about the character of deformation, destruction and limit loads of concrete solid and glued elements, which work in shear; method of calculation has been improved, which is based on the consideration of destruction character and account of maximum quantity of strength determinants; results - in the thesis have been elaborated propositions on calculation of strength in shear of reiforced and concrete solid and glued elements, which work in shear loads; expediency of using of variational method has been proved for strength determination on shear of reiforced and concrete solid and glued constructions; the field application is constraction.
