The thesis is dedicated to the research of intellectual development peculiarities at senior preschoolers with general speech underdevelopment on the basis of qualitative-quantitative analysis of their cognitive and speech activities. The components, criteria, indicators of intellectual development and their formation on the verbal and nonverbal levels are determined. The complex for intellectual peculiarities diagnostics is created and intellectual activity levels of development at senior preschoolers with general speech underdevelopment are determined. The main directions and the content of correctional-developmental work towards intellectual disorders prediction and overcoming at children with abovementioned special needs are displayed. The research results can be used: in correctional educational-upbringing programs for senior preschoolers with general speech underdevelopment content renewal; in psychological-pedagogical practice of compensatory and regular preschool and school establishments, psychological-medical-pedagogical consultations etc.
