Vyshynsky V. Symphonism of D. Shostakovich and G. Mahler: movement as structural and music and dramatic composition factor

The thesis considers the approach to research of D. Shostakovich’s creative work and the influence of G. Mahler’s symphonism on it. The basis of this approach is the conception of movement, considered as structural and music and dramatic factor. It’s usage gave the possibility to realize deeper compositional and dramatic idea of analysed works, to imagine the logic of music material formation. The point of intersection of creative searches of Shostakovich and Mahler was found, the essence of common artistic vision of these composers was defined, the principal qualities of their music thinking was determined, the character of reflection of Mahler’s compositional ideas and devices in Shostakovich’s music poetics was indicated. The approach that was found makes wider the possibilities of musicological analytics, represents the notion of intensity and extensiveness in a new context. General principles of music movement construction are defined, the structural and essential feature of tempo and its correlations is determined.
