Essay

The thesis presents a comprehensive political study of the public memory as an independent value of political life and as an important condition in the formation and development of democratic political consciousness. In this research government, civil society organizations, political parties, research and educational institutions, media, religious communities are examined as the self-constructors of the historical versions. Based on the analysis fulfilled, the urgent tasks for the development of consensual model of the politics of memory in Ukraine formulated. The modern conceptual understanding of the civic culture and the ethics of memory has been filed.
