Object of research - processes of change of a technical condition of isolators; the purpose of work is increase of a level of reliability and safety of electroinstallations operation, including the switching equipment, by improvement of diagnostic maintenance which is intended for the control of a technical condition of isolators over operation; empirical methods, a method analytical groupings and сorrelation analysis, methods of physical and mathematical modelling, statistical technology, the system approach and a method of formalization are used; Theoretical results - the complex quality monitoring of a technical condition of isolators in operation by the coordination behind an informative variable of diagnostic parameters of ultrasonic methods, мethods of infra-red radiation registration, mechanical tests and the visual control of an external condition which allows to optimize the control of a technical condition of isolators while in service on reliability for the first time is offered, to duration and cost of the control; for the first time the diagnostic model of processes of change of a technical condition of the isolators, based that the most widespread factors of occurrence of temperature anomalies in isolator are polarization owing to humidifying internal volumes of porcelain, and the increase in capacity caused by development internal macroscopical crack is offered. Application of the offered diagnostic model allows to use мethods of infra-red radiation registration for an estimation of a condition multielement designs (220 kV and higher) and to find out damage at an early stage of his development; the method of diagnosing of isolators is advanced by means of infra-red technics by the account of distribution of a voltage on elements multi-storey designs and influences of speed of a wind on intensity of processes of heat exchange which allows to increase reliability of an estimation of a technical condition of isolators by results of the control of parameters of a temperature field. Practical results - on the basis of the offered complex method the control the normative of Мinistry for power and the coal industry of Ukraine which determines the order and conditions of monitoring procedure developed. A degree of introduction - performance of requirements of the developed methodical maintenance is necessary for all power objects which concern to sphere of management of Мinistry for power and the coal industry of Ukraine.
