The dissertation is devoted to the experimental phonetic study of prosodic means actualizing communicative pragmatic intentions in British political speeches. Theoretical methodological basis of prosodic means actualizing communicative pragmatic intentions in political speeches have been defined, methods of their experimental phonetic study have been worked out. Ways of communicative-pragmatic intentions expression by the political discourse participants have been revealed. Means and the variant and invariant peculiarities of their prosodic actualization in the given type of discourse have been found out.
