Essay

The dissertation is dedicated to improving the characteristics of siliconized Carbon-Carbon composite materials. It is a developed technology of preparing and applying a protective coating on the Carbon fibers. The oxidation resistance of coated fibers is investigated. A model of predicting the elastic and strength characteristics of siliconized CCCM, on the base of fibers with a protective coating, is developed. The main physical and mechanical characteristics of the developed material are defined.
