Essay

The thesis outlines a new approach to the contrastive and typological analysis of exhortation as a complex speech genre in Ukrainian and German from the point of view of linguistic genology. A comprehensive framework for the analysis of speech genre of exhortation has been elaborated. Six types of speech genre of exhortation have been identified. Communicative and pragmatic organization of speech genre of exhortation has been analyzed. The common and distinctive lexical and grammatical means of expression exhortation types have been defined. The common regularities and differences in the organization and means of expression of speech genre of exhortation have been established in the investigated languages.
