Mochalov Y. Optimization of skin wound scarring of children with congenital and acquired pathology of maxillofacial area

Dissertation is devoted to solving the urgent scientific task of improvement the effectiveness of treatment the children with congenital and acquired diseases of the maxillofacial area which lead to scarring of the skin. We performed an analysis of the prevalence of different skin scars types in maxillofacial area. Features of the blood clotting indices values for different types of scars were considered. It allowed to allocate a conditional risk group of patients with increased probability of hypertrophic scars formation. Investigations of the atrophic facial scars morphological structure were performed, their results were compared with cases of scarring in adults. Children's scar structure was marked by a number of features. An expediency of silicone elastoprotector use to prevent formation of abnormal skin scars in maxillofacial region in children was justified. We performed a comparative analysis of the "Contractubex" and "Dermatix" effectiveness in the facial skin scar prevention purpose. A scheme of the combined elastoprotector's using was developed and put into a practice. Recommendations for the prevention of abnormal scarring of the skin maxillofacial region after planned surgery and traumas were developed.
