Essay

The objective is to improve the technology of obtaining hexafluoropropylene by tetrafluoroethylene pyrolysis. The kinetic studies are conducted and analytical expressions for the rate constants of reactions describing the mechanism of hexafluoropropylene formation are determined. The effect of partial pressure of tetrafluoroethylene, pyrolysis temperature and reaction time on selectivity of hexafluoropropylene formation are invesrigated, and on their basis were proved optimal parameters of tetrafluoroethylene pyrolysis. A method of cleaning absorption monomer grade 2 from fluorohydrocarbon impurities by ethyl acetate was elaborated.
