Dissertation is devoted to the study of Ukrainian and Chinese brass composers and performing arts in comparative terms. Chronological range of research includes a long period of history – from the late Paleolithic era (40–15 thousand years BC) to the 21st century inclusive. So, in the consider the conditions of and further the development and performance of trumpet in Ukraine and China, is their specificity at each historical stage. In this regard, highlighted performance at the initial musical instruments of archaic period, the later folk instruments, such as trumpet, prior to its establishment and spread of these national musical cultures, actually, trumpet, mostly academic, performance. Consideration of this material became the basis of observations of comparative nature – identify similar issues and direct contacts, mentioned processes within the Ukrainian and Chinese musical traditions. The paper also solved holistically works by Ukrainian and Chinese composers for trumpet (solo, in bands, and orchestra). The processes of genre and stylistic evolution in the named field of composers works in Ukraine and China are displayed. The above processes are also highlighted in a comparative perspective, particularly, in the context of a common cross-cultural process of the national composer school, which, however, ran into them with some time differences.
