The state of ventilation systems for local airing in mines has been analyzed in the thesis. The main mining and technological conditions and besides, the character of ventilating currents which enter and leave the mine during operations in blind pits have been detected and studied. The available ways and means to increase the efficiency of ventilating in blind pits have been considered. On the basis of the results obtained, there mathematical models of a ventilation system in blind pits have been developed and substantiated by analytical treatment of the graphs which illustrate the dependence of the current decline and power of the fan for local ventilating on the value of the fan feeding. The method that would be of value in measuring the parameters for the local ventilating system which takes into account all constituents of traction force source and characteristics of blast engines relevant to various types of ventilating has been introduced. Furthermore, the method to calculate the parameters of the system for local ventilation taking into account a gas factor and not permanent gas dynamics phenomena which show periodical yield fluctuations caused by irregular technological and geotechnical impact on rock massifs and attended by gas emission has been worked out.
