Essay

The series of composite materials based on the MeX2, LaX3, CsMeI3 and CsBa2I5 (Me = Ca, Sr, Ba) microcrystals doped by Eu2+ and Ce3+ ions embedded in the AX (A = Na, Cs; X = Cl, Br, I) matrices were obtained and investigated. Utilizing modern techniques such as luminescent spectroscopy upon optical, synchrotron and X-ray radiation excitation; scanning electron microscopy and electron microprobe analysis, the peculiarities of excitation mechanisms of luminescent centers in embedded microcrystals were studied, and the identity of luminescent-kinetic properties of microcrystals with their single crystal analogues were revealed.
