The dissertation is devoted to studying the stress-strain state (SSS) of structures of separately standing metal polygonal bent poles (PBP), perfection of techniques of their calculation and constructive forms taking into account the features wind impact. In the dissertation the walkthrough of the references devoted to experience of application and operation, to structural calculations PBP, and carrying out of their natural trials has been resulted. The numerical researches of parameters of the SSS of racks by which results rational level of digitization of their settlement schemes is received are executed, necessity of the account of geometrical nonlinearity PBP and level of influence of variability of their basic design data on the SSS is estimated. Experimental researches of parameters of the SSS of poles by which results characteristic working areas of probable destruction of poles are defined are executed and sufficient convergence with theoretical preconditions that has allowed to receive rational is final-element model PBP has been received. Results of experimental aerodynamic researches of character of wind impact on PBP have allowed to construct epures of wind pressure and to define the basic criterion of vortex formation for PBP - Stryhal number and the technique of appointment of geometrical parameters of poles from a condition of their missing in a state of a wind resonance is offered. By results of the executed researches general recommendations about calculation metal polygonal bent poles are offered.
