The thesis is devoted to the determination of legal foundations and forms of provision an employee's career advancement under the new conditions of economic development. There was defined the notion and essence of an employee's career advancement under the new economic conditions, given characteristic to the professional vocational aptitude as a determinative foundation of provision an employee's career advancement. There were detected and revealed the forms of an employee's career advancement set by the current legislation. There was also made historical survey of an employee's career advancement in the times of the USSR. The experience of the foreign developed countries in the sphere of provision.
