The search object is an evaluation of capacity of bearing boxes. Researches were conducted with the use of methods of probability, theory of reliability and theory of resiliency.The dissertation is devoted to the improvement of methods of evaluating efficiency axle boxes of freight cars. Formed a model for determining the reliability of буксовых bearing units, in which the refusal axle boxes is considered as process emissions loads of outside space quality. Developed a 3D model of axle boxes of freight cars. Formed a model for determining the reliability of axle boxes of the freight car of open type. Results are used in the design axle boxes for new generation cars.
