Essay

The thesis presents the theoretical justification and experimentally confirmed solution of scientific problem devoted to association between XRCC1, XPD, XRCC3 DNA repair genes’ polymorphism and the development of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) in patients suffered due to Chornobyl NPP accident for the early identification of risk group patients and CLL prognosis. The genetic predisposition to the development of CLL under influence of ionizing radiation was found. Some peculiarities of CLL course in patients depending on DNA repair genes’ genotypes were revealed. A set of indicators for prediction of the CLL risk under influence of ionizing radiation, prognosis of disease and the risk of somatic diseases development was proposed.
