Dissertation Thesis deals with the development of information technology used to design systems helping to assess quality of printed editions on the basis of book quality model. The system of book quality assessment has been developed on the basis of a model able to create book quality parameters and choose the appropri-ate technological means and operation mode for separate steps of technological proc-ess to ensure the required quality of the edition. Identification of the book quality parameters and investigations of their correlations allowed creation of the integral index of book quality to measure its value and therefore control the book quality on the design stage.
