Bases of chemistry and technology of liquid-phase oxidation of hydroxytoluenes and it's acylated derivatives with ozone-air mixture are formulated. Kinetics of reactions of oxidation of substrate by ozone in the presence of cobaltic-bromine catalizator. The reactions of ozone with hydroxy- and acetyloxytoluenes? of ozone with cobalt(II), of cobalt(III) with the substrate are explored. The optimum terms of synthesis of hydroxybenzoic acids are found. The of principle technological chart of production of izomeric hydroxybenzoic acids is offered.
