Essay

The thesis is devoted to discovered species of weeds in the agrophytocenosis of the Northern central moderate droughty subzone of Ukrainian Northern Steppe, conducted their taxonomic, biological, ecological analysis. It was defined the level of seed production for weeds from the families of Asteraceae, Brassicaceae, Poaceae. There was determined the level of naturalization for adventive species such as: Ambrosia artemisiіfolia, Xanthium albinum, Iva xanthiifolia. On the basis of the results of laboratory-field experiments there was established the level of harmfulness and injuriousness from monocotyledonous species of weeds in accordance with their level and time of presence in sunflower sowings as the main crop on the territory of research. It was presented the economic and bioenergy evaluation of efficiency of herbicides' application in sunflower sowings.
