Essay

In the thesis the spectral properties of a certain class of solvable quantum-mechanical models that describe the motion of particles in potential focused on a certain discrete set of points. We obtain an algorithm to determine the number of negative squares for Schrodinger operators with delta and delta-prime interactions and also a description of the spectrum for self-adjoint realizations of multi-dimensional Schrodinger operators . In particular, we study the deficiency indices of differential fourth-order operators with local point interactions.
