Subject of inquiry is protection of work and health in the workplace in the performance of refractory construction and repair work on the hot repair of coke ovens The purpose of the dissertation is improving safety of working conditions of refractory workers while doing repair and civil engineering work at coke ovens taking into account complex influence of all factors of industrial environment with subsequent decreasing of impact. Research methods: used modern methods of analytical and experimental studies with the use of systems analysis. In theoretical studies of use of basic and applied sciences, including analysis and processing of scientific, technical and statistical information. In experimental studies, mathematical modeling techniques used in the application of modern means and methods of measurement with a statistical treatment of data on computers. Theoretical and practical results: developed and scientifically validated method of estimating the combined effect of harmful and dangerous environment factors and the choice of measures to improve working conditions in the performance of the refractory hot repairs to the coke ovens, designed and implemented in practice, evidence-based package of health and preventive measures to improve working conditions in the performance of refractory construction and repair work on the coke ovens, which will reduce production due to morbidity and improve security, and the results of research into the educational process in place when the course projects, laboratory work and practical training courses for the "Protection of work in Construction" and "Protection of work in industry". Novelty of the research: for the first time carried out a scientific analysis of conditions in the performance of refractory construction and repair work on the hot repair of coke ovens, and gives a comprehensive description of hygienic conditions, the first time established the importance of indicators of harmful factors that influence the etiology and causation of diseases caused by industrial and workplace refractory; the first time to assess the working conditions offered refractory generalized coefficient Kgen, which takes into account the complex influence of harmful and dangerous factors of the production environment; first developed a mathematical model of the dependence of production due to illness in the workplace refractory to the combined effect of unfavorable factors. Implementation extent: a set of science-based wellness and prevention activities to improve working conditions and introduced refractory to PSC "Yasinovka Coke", OSC "Dneprodzerzhinsk Coke" and OSC "Industrial Technology". Range of application: construction and repair work on the coke ovens.
