Essay

Object of research - secondary silumins AK8M3 and AK9M2 obtained from 100 % secondary raw materials. Subject of research - processes of structure formation, technological and mechanical properties of secondary aluminum alloys. Purpose of the work - obtaining of optimal disperse structure, increasing of technological and mechanical properties of secondary silumins as a result of improvement of charging, refinement and modification processes of the melt. Methods of research: optical microscopy; chemical composition determination by the method of spectral analysis; application of standard and special methods of investigation for mechanical and technological properties (fluidity, linear shrinkage, crack resistance, porosity of cast metal, defects, and crack resistance of the weld) determination; mathematical processing of experimental data using the personal computer; using of methods of experimental data regression and correlation analysis for obtaining of mathematical dependences of the secondary silumins' properties on chip content in the charge, quantity of iron in the alloy and the modifier's addition value. New concentration dependences describing the combined influence of the quantity of chip in the charge, iron content in the alloy and modifier's addition on the foundry and mechanical properties of the cast and weld metal of the secondary silumin АК9М2 have been obtained. These dependences have allowed increasing of technological and mechanical properties as a result of optimization of charging, refinement and modification processes of the alloy. Implemented at Zaporizhzhya plant of non-ferrous alloys and JSC "Motor Sich". Area of application - automobile building, civil and industrial building.
