Pakhnenko O. Managing catastrophic insured risks in the formation of a convergent model of financial market

The paper summarizes the theoretical principles of catastrophic insured risks securitization and provides the analysis of the methodology and practical aspects of catastrophe bonds issue. The thesis discloses the principles of formation of financial sources to pay the indemnity for losses from natural disasters and industrial accidents in Ukraine and the analysis of the role of insurance companies in providing coverage for catastrophic losses. The paper substantiates the scientific approach to the optimization of financial sources structure to funding the losses caused by natural disasters through the imple-mentation of the mechanism of catastrophe risks securitization. It studies the organ-izational and legal framework for implementation of catastrophic insurance risk secu-ritization in Ukraine and examines the financial potential of the stock market for catastrophic risks coverage. The paper provides the proposals for ensuring effective cooperation between state agencies and insurance companies in damages from natural disasters on the basis of a public-private partnership.
