Mytnyk N. Clinic-pathogenetic grounds for the methods of early detection and treatment of pneumonia of newborns.

The thesis is devoted to the issue of improving detection and treatment of congenital pneumonia of mature infants. The work provides the data of modem epidemiology, prenatal risk factors of the disease development., clinic-metabolic peculiarities of the pneumonia development in the early neo-natal period. The thesis examines leucocidal toxicity index and resistance index of newboms with congenital pneumonia and their importance for identifying the disease and its complexity, prognosis and evaluation of the prescribed therapy. The paper has proved that pathogenesis of congenital pneumonia includes disturbance of immune and interferon statuses, misbalance in peroxidation processes of lipids and the anti-oxidant protection system, the timely correction of which permits to improve the efficiency of treatment of severe clinical picture. It also determines the linkage between the above-mentioned indicators and the level of aspiral deficiency of infants with congenital pneumonia. It provides pathogenetic grounds for including immunoglobulin and nonspecific antivirus medication "Flavosid" into the complex therapy of infants with clinical symptoms of congenital pneumonia.
