Essay

The object of the research: development of numismatics in Ukraine from ХІХ century till the beginning of ХХ century including. The dissertation purpose is most full to open process of formation and further development of numismatics at the Kharkov university with 1804 for 1917. Methods: analysis, synthesis, deduction, induction, methods of historical and logical analysis, methods of classification and typology of, structural and functional analysis, problem-chronological, illustrative, historical-comparative, historical-genetic, historical-typological. Scientific novelty: the results of the previous scientific researches with the newest searches are incorporated, analyzed and generalized; the unknown about today for a wide range of the scientist sources, connected to activity in numismatics of the representatives of a public Kharkov region and some scientific of Kharkov university, and also materials, concerning histories of its collecting of coins and medals, are used; for the first time in domestic historiography on the large actual material, which part was not analyzed yet by predecessors, is created the dissertation research, devoted to development of numismatics at the Kharkov university from time of its basis till 1917. Practical value of work: the results of the dissertation can be used at a spelling of the monographies, generalizing works on a history of the Kharkov university and its educational-auxiliary institutions, history of development of numismatics in Ukraine, special courses, and also at creation of numismatic museum expositions and exhibitions. Sphere of use: higher educational institutions, museums.
