In this study the essence of the concept of public officials is found out, are distinguished general characteristics of public officials is their classification and are characterized the legal status, are considered the legal framework establishing the working conditions of public officials. Special attention is devoted to the classification of conditions of public officials. The attention is focused to such working conditions of public officials as working time and rest time, wages, guarantee and compensation payments, social security. Made suggestions for amendments to the regulations of the investigated problems, particularly to the Labour Code of Ukraine, the Labor Code of Ukraine, Laws "On Civil Service", "On vacation", "On the Police", "On security Service of Ukraine "," On Prosecution ".
