The thesis is devoted to improve explosion safety of mining lamp with rechargeable battery by method based on prevention of heat acceleration of the rechargeable battery and intensification of the process of excess dispersion generated heat of the rechargeable battery in case of its damaged. There was examined the dangerous conditions and the efficiency of technical safety methods of mining lamp with rechargeable battery and performed theoretical research of the parameters and characteristics that determine the explosion safety of mining lamp. There was examined the model of thermal behavior of rechargeable battery in the power supply unit of lamp in emergency mode. There was performed experimental study of parameters and characteristics that determine the explosion safety of the lamp. The method of control and test of batteries was developed. The technical requirements for especially explosion-proof lamps was developed by results of researches and was included to TU U 31.5-33206228-008:2008 "Especially explosion-proof mining cap lamps type SVG with rechargeable battery" and was included to TU U 33.2-33206228-011:2010 "Methane alarm lamp SMS-10".
