Theoretical and practical results: conducted a comprehensive assessment of current UTI in diabetic patients and investigated the immunological component of their pathogenesis, the expediency of inclusion in complex therapy immunomodulator Erbisol for the correction of immune disorders and improve the effectiveness of therapy in these patients, the data showed the need for microbiological investigation of urine with the definition of sensitivity to antibiotics all diabetic patients with UTI before the appointment of antibiotic therapy due to the high antibiotic resistance identified. Novelty: for the first time was carried out a comprehensive clinical, microbiological, immunological study in patients with diabetes with the urinary tract infections, which allowed us to estimate the functional reserve of immunocompetent cells in patients with frequent and prolonged relapses of the disease, was shown a positive effect on immunologic parameters Erbisol and appropriateness of its inclusion in the complex therapy of UTI in patients with diabetes, reducing the terms of recovery, reduce the frequency of relapses, to slow the progression of diabetic nephropathy. Degree of implementation: results of the study are used in clinical practice in the department of clinical diabetology of the Institute of Endocrinology.
