Nelepin S. Diagnostics and complex treatment of posttraumatic pain syndrome at damage of nerves of extremities.

The thesis is devoted to study of peculiarities of pain syndromes (PS) forming, clinical flow, diagnostics and treatment in 184 patients with traumatic injury of nerves of extremities, been treated in clinic of renewing surgery of SI "Institute of neurosurgery named after acad. A.P. Romodanov of National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine" in 2006-2009 years. Chronic (neuropathic) PS was exposed in 33 (26%) men and 29 (50.9%) women, contact (neurogenic) PS - in 43 (38.6%) and 81 (31.6%) cases accordingly.Standard neurosurgical operations were performed in 137 (74.5%) patients with consequences of peripheral nerves trauma.It was set that effectiveness of PS treatment for certain depends on patient's age, time, have passed after trauma, type of neurosurgical operation been performed. Patient's sex, trauma's type (isolated or combined) and character (open or closed), damaged nerve topography (upper or lower extremity), type of previous treatment didn't influence for certain on neuropathic PS development.
