Dissertation investigation have been directed on solving of important scientific-engineering problem, namely - development of engineering methods for prediction of contact strength, durability and wear of cogged and worm gears taking into account a hooking correction and changes in contact conditions that result from wear during operation. Engineering methods have been developed for assessment of the influence of hooking correction for cylindrical, conic and worm gears on their contact strength, durability and wear. A generalized method has been developed for evaluation of the influence of changes in radii of curvature profiles of teeth due to wear of gears on their contact strength and durability.
