Essay

The author presents the reconstruction, comparison and critical study of mythological and religious consciousness in periods of social transformation (transition period), particularly on the verge of XIX -- XX centuries and the XX - XXI. The paper analyzes the philosophical, religious and psychological contexts of interpretations transition period in history. Transitional age is seen as a return to the archetypes of the collective unconscious in connection with the collapse of the whole picture of the world. It was found that most researchers - M.Bahtin, V.Hehel, F.Shellinh, O.Shpenhler, V.Shubart et al. associated problems of transition period with the processes of change in people's minds, with the growth of eschatological moods, as amended in relation to spatial and temporal characteristics of the society, community, ethnic group. Based on contrasting and comparing these theories proposed definition of transition period from a purely philosophical and religious connotations. The attention that the collective response to the objective processes in human history can "fall out" of historical time, that historical processes can thought at non-historical consciousness. All this allows you to lock specific transition periods and at the level of mentality that is difficult to identify only with the society, the culture or civilization.
