Ishtchuk O. Church councils as a subject of institutional development of the autocephalous movement in Ukraine in1990-1993

For the first time in native historiography the dissertation analyses in complex the activity of Ukrainian autocephalous councils on the territory of Ukraine in 1990-1993. The research has demonstrated that institutional development of the autocephalous movement was influenced not only by foreign policy, the absence of vivid state government position in particular, but also by internal church conflicts. Сontemporary nomenclature in most cases didn't support Ukrainian autocephalous movement, even somewhat hindered it's development. That has opened wide opportunities for The Moscow Patriarchate and other anti-Ukrainian forces to struggle against the independence of the Ukrainian Orthodox establishment.
