Object: activities of banks of Ukraine in the field of financial investments. Objective: deepening the theoretical and methodological positions and developing practical recommendations for improving the management of commercial banks in the financial investment. Methods: historical, structural, systemic, abstract, system and graphical analysis, econometric and economic modeling. Results: improved approaches to managing financial investments within the overall process of managing assets and liabilities, the theoretical and methodological support a risk-based approach to banking, the definition of financial investment banks.
